New to Publishing? That’s Okay.

You do not need previous publication experience to contribute.

Part of the purpose of the Civic Review is to create an accessible first publishing opportunity for emerging writers. Undergraduate and graduate students are particularly encouraged to submit, including work inspired by research papers, policy assignments, independent research, or issues you care about.

We particularly encourage submissions from BIPOC, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, newcomer, first generation, low income, and other historically underrepresented communities.
